Camec Anti Tamper Handle Kit
The camec door system has 2 main issues. Firstly both the inner and outer handles are made of plastic which over time degrades and weakens and eventually breaks. Secondly the outer handle can be tampered with from the outside preventing the door from being unlocked from the inside - essentially locking in anyone who is inside! All that is needed to lock you inside is a slip of paper or a bit of tape.

Fixing the first issue is easy - make the handles using aluminium.
Fixing the second issue meant we had to design a new outer handle with a built in spring override mechanism. This means the handle can still be unlocked from the inside of the caravan if it happens to be tampered with on the outside.

Got the kit in good time, when installing the round component for the inside door handle didn't want to work so I had to use the old part to get things going ( the old one was a snug fit in the handle but the new one was a bit sloppy ) anyway its working.
Only thing is the anti tamper side I can't find any information as to how it's supposed to work, I latched the handle with tape and the door still stayed locked from the inside so perhaps some better instruction would be great on how it's done!

Thanks for the review and pictures.
For the inner handle I'm guessing the cam wasn't fully seated when you went to tighten the screw. If it's working I'd just leave it for now and at least you have a spare if anything happens.
As for the anti tamper aspect we have been meaning to do a video on it to explain how it works- we will get on to it. Essentially it allows you to operate the unlock slide on the inside of the caravan even if the outer handle is taped shut. With the standard handle you're not able to operate the unlock slide on the inside leading you to not be able to open the door.
Fantastic set will last way longer than the old plastic one. Easily installed. Great service, price, and communication from Gone Outback Spares.
